This copy contains an original color drawing by Elihu Vedder on the front endpaper, which is signed by the artist as a part of the drawing. The drawing itself is a dedication to Edward E. Ayer and contains a caricature of a man with a long white mustache and glasses; the glasses are incorporated into the word "book." Pages edges are uncut. The text is clean and unmarked.
