Minor foxing on the first and final few pages, and very light scattered foxing throughout the text. Previous owner's early bookplate with gold crown affixed on the half-title page, with the four glue applications causing a light indentation to a few pages to follow: Margaret Poulett (likely the widowed second wife of the 4th Earl; she died in 1838 and the Poulett Lodge was thereafter sold to Andrew Maclew and contents likely dispersed). First edition.
