[viii], 90, [ii] pages of text. Disbound: removed from bound volume, with stitching attached and functional. Complete, including half-title and Epilogue leaf. Epilogue leaf is torn at the outside lower corner, just affecting text, with an early repair to the reverse. An interior leaf is also torn at the fore-edge margin, just touching the text with no loss. Evidence of an early repair remains, which lightly browns the tear area and surrounding leaves. First page is lightly soiled. Stated second edition on title page. Measures 8-3/16" tall. MacNally was a member of the United Irishmen, but secretly betrayed the revolutionists to the government during 1794-1820. He also betrayed political clients whom he defended in court, including Robert Emmet.
