[Edward] Bierstadt identified as the photographer. Contains three color 2-page folding maps: Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont/New Hampshire. Bound in three-quarter leather with marbled boards; gilt spine lettering and decoration. Minor rubbing to the extremities. Previous owner's name "Edward C. Morris" stamped in gilt on front board. Contains several blank, lined pages (for notes) bound in at the end of the text. INCOMPLETE: page 103-104, (and possibly the associated portrait) is missing; this is the page upon which information about Edward C. Morris was contained. First edition.
