xvi, 234 pages of text. Black cloth binding with minimal shelfwear; blue spine lettering is bright and intact, but red spine lettering is readable but flaking. Minor and even browning to paper, except first few pages (including title page) with moderate browning from offsetting from newspaper clipping. Unclipped dustjacket with large chip at top of spine, and numerous small chips, creases and tears at extremities; moderate fading to spine, and several long strips of clear tape repair along edges of spine, and more on the verso; protected in archival mylar, and remaining attractive with all faults. First published as "Adams" in 1925 in French. This edition with a preface by the author. The text is clean and unmarked.
