One page letter dated May 8, 1925. Signed in ink "Will Durant." Typed on Labor Temple School stationery. Addressed to Rabbi Grossman in Cleveland, Ohio regarding a speaking engagement in March of 1926. Durant mentions four new lectures "An Amendment to Democracy," "Is Progress Real?" which is his half of a debate in NY with Clarence Darrow, "The Epic of the Jews," and "The Philosophy of Spinoza." Included is a file copy of the letter originally sent to Durant to elicit this response.
