[viii], 683 pages of text, follwed by [xxiv] pages of index. Original full vellum binding, with ordinary soiling and shelfwear. A few pages (near page 500) are misbound. Engraved title page is present, but somewhat rubbed and worn; previous owner's ticket affixed "D. Francesco Paolo Arc.e Maulucci" and another inked name reads something like "J. I. P. Revigore de Pueliche." Additionally illustrated with 52 engraved copperplates of emblems. Minor staining to top edge of most pages. Previous owner was Leonard Baskin; on rear pastedown endpaper in his hand Lisa & Leonard Baskin" followed by his squiggle. Also, a notation in his hand on the front endpaper.
