Illustrated by a folding table and three folding plates. Both volumes uniformly bound in a hardcover binding of half leather with marbled paper-covered boards; moderate to heavy rubbing and shelfwear remaining intact and attractive. Text and plates slightly to moderately affected by foxing. Title translation: A complete treatise on electricity in theory and practice. Volume I published in 1785; Volume II (Supplementbande) published in 1797. Previous owner's bookplate on endpapers, and circular private library sticker at bottom of spine on volume II.
