Unclipped dustjacket has a tragically large tear causing a nearly complete loss of the title at the top of the spine and the loss of the horseman's head and the "Ne" of the title on the front cover panel; rear panel moderately soiled, and a few other small chips, tears and creases; protected in archival mylar. Stated "First Edition" with code "B-C" indicating a first printing of February 1928. Dustjacket and endpaper art by Stockton Mulford.
