Typed letter signed by Edna Ferber.

New York: By Author, 1962. First Edition. Unbound. Quarto (4to). Poor condition. Item #012501

One page typed letter on Ferber's "730 Park Avenue" stationery. Dated October 20 but the year is torn away. Not stated on the letter, it is written to Mr. William C. Hodapp of New York, NY. Ferber mentions trying to contact Hodapp, and invites him over for a drink. She writes "I'd like so much to talk to you about certain incidents of those days I spent in Europe. I mean I want them to be factually correct, as I am hoping to use them in part. It seems to me it is rather unreasonable of me to expect you to give me any time at all in this plan. Nevertheless, I'm going to telephone you..." Signed in full "Edna Ferber." The top corner of the letter is torn away, with the loss of the final one or two words of four lines of text (out of 18 lines total). The letter is also wrinkled and soiled.
