Each play is illustrated with an engraved frontisportrait, and there is an additional engraved title page, as well as a half-title page. The text is really clean and unmarked. The original binding is moderately rubbed at the extremities, with weakening of the hinges. The spine is decorated with wonderful gilt drama symbols. Albion Queens contains a frontisportrait of Mrs. Hartley in the role of Mary Queen of Scots. Anna Bullen contains a frontisportrait of Mr. Smith in the character of Piercy. Mariamne contains a frontisportrait of Mrs. Barry in the character of Mariamne. Ximena contains a frontisportrait of Mrs. Yates in the character of Ximena. The Brothers contains a frontisportrait of Mr. Garrick in the character of Demetrius. Small and minor red wax stains on the front and rear endpapers. Previous owner's name on the front endpaper: G.
