287 pages of text. Original hardcover binding in the style of crushed purple velvet, stamped with designs. Minor darkening to the edges, and spine extremities are rubbed, with small tears. The un-clipped dustjacket has several small tears and creases, is rubbed at the extremities, and is overall moderately soiled, with a few tiny spots rubbed through; protected in archival mylar. Expertly affixed to the inner spine lining is a bookmark made of a button on a string. We are unsure who inserted this, but we have left it intact. Illustrated. A few pages remain uncut and unopened. The text is clean and unmarked. First edition.
