One page typed letter, signed "Jimmy" in black marker. Dated June 11, 1976, about the time when he won enough delegates for the Democratic nomination. Songwriter and musician Larry Nestor of River Grove, IL wrote the song "Tune Up the Old Banjo" for which he was awarded the Bicentennial Folk Song Award by Loyola University in 1976. Nester sent Carter a tape of it, Carter states that he listened to it, and thanks Nestor in this letter. The letter is typed on Carter's Presidential Campaign stationery. There is a small stain on the letter. An opportunity to own an authentic autograph of the 39th President of the United States.
