Vellum land grant for 80 acres in Tippacanoe County, Indiana to Abel Janney, dated May 15, 1827. Signed by the 6th United States President (1825-1829) John Quincy Adams, and countersigned by George Graham, Commissioner of the General Land Office. Document measures approximately 9.5" (height) by 15.5" (width). There are six vertical creases and one horizontal crease, not affecting Adams' signature, but document is not flat. The document is overall slightly yellowed, with two dark stains in the text, not affecting the autograph. The wax seal is mostly lacking.
