Included is a letter, folded into fourths and tucked inside the book, on stationery of "Le College International De Chirirgiens" and dated December 6, 1942. It is addressed to the inscribee of the book and states "I take pleasure in sending you the latest book of my good friend Dr. Otto Eisenschiml. I asked him to autograph it for you. He graciously did...[signed] Max." The text is clean and unmarked. First edition.
