The front endpaper has a full page inscription by the author to "Miss Clara Goldstein Christmas Gift 1905. You, Clara, are a good, honest girl with a fine expanding nature. You should make an excellent woman and I am sure you will. Yours, [signed] Charles Eugene Banks." The inscription page is torn and soiled, and many page of text are worn and soiled, and a few are torn or chipped. Illustrated with numerous color plates. The title page states Stone as the publisher, with the bottom of the spine reading Monarch Book Co.
