This section was published by Henri Agasse, Paris, in 1797. In all, a total of 286 black & white plates. Rebound in green simulated leather, with previous owner's bookplate neatly on the front endpaper. There is minor foxing scattered here and there throughout the text, and the plates (several of which are fold-out) have minor foxing and soiling, mainly confined to the margins. Many of the plates have very light and neat pencil notations identifying the specimens pictured and as identified in the text/index. First edition.
