Three quarter leather binding is lightly worn, with a small bump to the top of the spine; marbled paper-covered boards and endpapers. Protected in custom-fitted archival mylar. Illustrated with 39 plates (complete), of which eleven are hand-colored. Very minimal foxing to several pages of text, and the back of several of the black & white plates. One page with a tiny paper defect. This may be a large paper copy, with the page height is over 10.25 inches (over 26.5cm); pages a.e.g. The title continues "...and Secret History, of the Courts of Charles II and James II." The text is clean and unmarked. First edition.
