The unclipped dustjacket has a small tear and crease, and has minor shelfwear and browning; protected in archival mylar. Signed and dated (05/15/1969) by the artist on the half title page, which also contains a full page drawing of a seated nude female. Illustrated with numerous color plates, many of which are tipped-in, and black-and-white plates. The frontispiece, which appears to be a tipped-in lithograph, is starting to detach. The text is in German. The bottom corner of approximately half of the text has a minor crease from a shelfbump. The previous owner's blindstamp is on the bottom edge of the title page; otherwise the text is clean and unmarked. First edition.
