[ii], 76 pages of text. Hardcover binding with marbled paper-covered boards, leather corners, with the spine covered with black paper to match the corners; lightly rubbed. The marbled endpapers are cracked at the hinge, remaining attached but weakened. Sabin 20489: "A terribly dramatic piece." The title continues "...Reprinted from the Virginia Edition of 1823, with an Appendix Relating to the Murder of Logan's Family." This 1868 publication, uncommon itself, is a reprint of the rare first edition.
