Two volume set. Vol. I: [xiv], 412 pagexs. Vol. II: [iv], 406 pages. Original full leather binding is rubbed, chipped and worn on the spines and corners, with weakened hinges, remaining intact and attrative. Ex-libris with printed labels and stamps on the front pastedowns, front endpaper, and title pages. The first volume lacks the front endpaper, and there is a small spot of staining to about 50 pages in the top margin. Vignette on title pages, and the text is illustrated with numerous head-pieces, tail-pieces, and initials. The text is clean and unmarked. Contains all 24 books of this epic poem.
