The first and most important volume only of a two volume set. Lacking Volume II. Number 155 of 500 printed on Ragleaf all rag paper, and signed by the author and the publisher. Also signed by: Henri Farman who made the First Kilometer Flight by Aeroplane in Europe (1908); Louis Bleriot who made the world's first cross-country airplane flight (1908) and the First Airplane Flight Across the English Channel (1909); Glenn Curtiss who made the first public flight in America (1908); A. Whitten Brown co-commander of the First Non-Stop Airplane Flight across the Atlantic Ocean (1919); G. Herbert Scott Commander of the First Transatlantic Voyage in an Airship (1919); Hugo Eckener Commander of the "Graf Zeppelin" during the first flight from Germany to America (1928) and the first airship flight around the world (1929); and Claude Dornier the German designer and builder of multi-engined aircraft. Vellum-style parchment spines and corners with minor wear and minor soiling, with light purple with dark purple and gold-veined hand-made paper-covered boards. The spine label is present but with chipping to the top edge. The text is clean and unmarked.
