436 pages. Original full leather binding is worn, with minor chipping, wear to corners, and scuffing. Illustrated with 4 engravings, one of which is hand-colored. The text has a lot of minor soiling, foxing, creasing and a few tiny chips. The endpapers are covered with previous owners names and their handwriting and scribbles: William M Blake; Edward McDowell. The edges of several pages are heavily browned. The eighth American edition, from the fifth British edition.
