Rebound in quarter leather with marbled paper-covered boards. 18th Century engraved coat-of-arms bookplate removed from failed binding materials and affixed neatly to the front endpaper. It pictures elephants, a knight's helmet and reads: Thos [Thomas] Fountayne Esqr. The text contains minor foxing and there is minimal staining to the top of the closed page edges near the spine. First edition.
