Five contiguous volumes of this publication. Published between 1891 and 1895 which was the final issue. Small portfolios with [iv] pages consisting of a title page and an index of plates, followed by 80 plates, many of which are double plates. The double plates measure 12 inches by 17 inches. Several of the thin cloth spines holding the boards together are detached or torn and worn. All of the string-ties are lacking, as are a few of the inner flaps and most of the covers are moderately worn and soiled but remaining attractive. Several title pages are heavily browned/toned, and most of the plate margins are lightly browned. Previous owner's name on the title page and portfolio case: Carl Wisch Architect. Beautifully executed plates by hundreds of architects, including churches, residences, commercial buildings, schools and other institutions, mixed-use buildings, with fine details such as iron work, furniture, masonry diagrams for constructing circular chimneys, elevations, floor plans, etc. of Hannover School structures. The text is in German. Folio measuring 12 inches in height and 8.5 inches wide. First and only edition.
