xxvi, 388 pages of text including an index. Hardcover binding in excellent condition. The unclipped dustjacket is somewhat sunned on the spine, with minimal shelfwear; protected in archival mylar. Contains numerous illustrations by Tom Lea as well as many photographs. Two pages are lightly browned from the offsetting from a bookmark but the text is otherwise clean and unmarked. Bramhall House reprinted this from the Little, Brown first edition of 1941 without providing a printing date; circa 1960.
