x, 192 pages of text. With a poem handwritten by a student of Chapin School (graduated 1944) that was signed at the bottom by Robert Frost. The poem is Frost's epic "Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening" and it was written half on one side of a piece of paper, the front of which is signed by Frost, and the back half was originally affixed to face the back of the frontispiece illustration, which retains a small amount of adhesive residue. Hardcover binding with minor sunning to the spine and minor shelfwear. No dustjacket. Minor creasing to the fore edge of the title page. With illustrations by John O'Hara Cosgrave II. The text is clean and unmarked. First edition; stated "first printing."
