A card slightly smaller than 3" x 5" with typed identification and upon which is handwritten and signed "Paris 20 Fevrier 1922 Ar. Briand". The card was removed from a sheet of paper and the residue remains on the back of the card. Briand was Prime Minister of France for eleven terms during the French Third Republic. In 1926, he received the Nobel Peace Prize along with German Foreign minister Gustav Stresemann for the realization of the Locarno Treaties, which aimed at reconciliation between France and Germany after the First World War.
