This copy is interleaved with blank pages, which extend about two inches (5cm) beyond the pages of the text at the fore edge. Approximately 25 percent of those blank pages contain handwritten notations, often quite lengthy. The top and fore-edge margins of about half of these annotated and blank leaves are somewhat damp-stained, which sometimes but rarely affects the margins of the text. Previous owner's names on the front endpaper. First edition.
