Two extracts from the Quarterly Journal of the Geological Society of London, from vols. xlvii (1891) containing 100 pages of text paginated [63]-162, and xlviii (1892) containing 120 pages paginated [59]-179. Bound in the original printed blue paper wrappers, which are somewhat worn, with minor chipping to the spine, a few tears, and minor staining to the rear wrapper of one extract; protected in a custom clamshell box with a leather spine label. The 1891 extract is inscribed "With the Author's Compliments". 217mm x 141mm (8 1/4" x 5 1/2"). The texts are clean and unmarked.
