Original full mottled calf (leather) binding with gilt-lettered maroon leather spine label; minor shelfwear to the binding, with both hinges expertly repaired by a conservator, and a small chip at the top of the spine filled-in. Complete with a large fold-out frontispiece, a fold-out map, one plate, and in-text woodcuts. There is moderate foxing scattered throughout the plates and text. A small piece of the lower corner of one page is missing due to a minor paper manufacturing defect, not affecting the text.
