Raised bands on the spine, lettered and decorated in blind. Design of the binding and type by William Dana Orcutt. Limited to 1026 copies. Printed in red and black on handmade English linen rag, with typesetting and presswork by The Plimpton Press. Top edge gilt (t.e.g.); other edges untrimmed. There are numerous tiny specks of minor discoloration embedded in the paper, inherent to the type of raw material used in the papermaking process. Stamped "Authorized Edition" by the bindery at the bottom of the spine. The index is to the marginal headings, which are printed in red at the edge of the text. There is very minimal age-toning/browning to the edge of the exposed uncut page edges. Measures 14 7/16" (height) by 10 3/8" (367mm x 265 mm). The text is clean and unmarked.
