376 pages of text. Binding has a leather spine and corners, with marbled paper-covered boards. Minor rubbing to the extremities, and the front board is creased from top to bottom, but the binding is remains attractive and intact. The first few and final few pages are slightly foxed, and much of the text is slightly browned. The first few pages are slightly loosened, seemingly caused by the removal of the folding map titled "New Map of Illinois" which is lacking in this copy. The text is otherwise clean and unmarked. Bibliography: Howes P170; Graff 3232; Sabin 59483. Pages 361-370 describe Wisconsin Territory, and pages 371-374 describe North Western Territory. LACKING FOLDING MAP. First edition.
