First edition, first issue with typographical errors present on page 19, line 6: "elgble"; page 209, line 23: "chair" instead of "hair"; and page 275, line 22: "counsinship" instead of "cousinship." Full leather binding by J. Clarke with gold lettering and decoration and raised bands on the spines, with minimal shelfwear, a minor bump to one corner, and one small area of discoloration to the rear board. Armorial device in gilt on front cover of Ralph Sneyd. Endpapers and the closed page edges are marbled. The text is clean and unmarked. Charles Dickens (1812-1870).
