First edition, first issue of both volumes, with page "x" misnumbered "xvi" in Vol. I, and [vi] pages of advertisements at the end of Vol. II. Previous owner's name neatly on the title page, one page of text, and final page of text of both volumes: Robert Feast 1842 [year of publication]. Batty & Feast was a London-based pickle and sauce manufacturer. Vol. I: [xii], 308 pages. Vol. II: viii, 306 pages of text followed by [vi] of publisher's advertisement. First edition, first issue.
