Minimal rubbing to the extremities, and minimal dulling to the spine gilt. Lacks the dustjacket; protected in custom-fitted archival Mylar. Inscribed with a line from the first poem printed in this publication (Spring Pools), dedicated to a recipient, dated and signed by Robert Frost (1874-1963). It reads "These flowery waters and these watery flowers Robert Frost For Cornelia Hopkins Allen Amherst 1937". The text is illustrated with four black & white woodcut illustrations by Julius John (J.J.) Lankes (1884-1960). The text is clean and unmarked. Early reprint edition, dated "March, 1935" on the copyright page.
