The spine of the price-clipped dustjacket has a small chip to the top and is browned, and the entirety is soiled, foxed and slightly shelfworn; protected in archival Mylar. The closed page edges are heavily foxed/spotted. The first and final few pages are lightly foxed, as are a small number of pages of text. The introduction, p.12, states that this novel was published as Hemingway's second book in 1925, though it was published by Scribner's in 1926. Hanneman A37a.
