432 pages of text including an index. Blue full leather binding with gilt lettering and decoration in new condition. All closed page edges gilt-coated with a few tiny shelf scuffs. Number 543 of 5000 copies signed by Ronald Reagan on a special limitation page. Issued bound with a blue silk ribbon bookmark decorated with white stars in the style of the American Flag. The text is clean and unmarked. First edition, first printing with the number "1" starting the number line printed on the copyright page. Presented in a felt-lined oak box, with gold-colored pulls, handles and the presidential seal. Under the top lid, the limited signed first edition book rises out of it's recessed cove when a red silk ribbon pull is lifted. Additionally, there is a felt-lined audio drawer below containing six unplayed cassette tapes which contain hours of recordings of the president's speeches. The box is in near fine condition. Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) was the 40th president of the United States (1981-1989).
