Illustrated with a frontisportrait of the author. An extra dedication leaf has been supplied from another copy, which is inscribed by the author "E.D. Anbrow[?] with respects of Author [signed] A. Henry." The signed page is soiled, and was trimmed and mounted on what appears to be contemporary paper, which has been tipped-in prior to the ordinary dedication page. Small tear to fore edge of the title page. The frontisportrait has been strengthened at the fore edge with tissue. Minor foxing scattered to the first and last few pages. Previous owner's name on the front endpaper: Robert Bell, Ottawa. Height measures slightly over 8.5 inches (216mm). Housed in an attractive leather-backed slipcase.
