[vi], viii, 365 pages of text. The Author's Unabridged Popular Edition, produced in France, issued by the author in direct response to the many pirated editions. Gilt-lettered leather spine with brown cloth boards with rubbing to the extremities and moderate shelfwear; protected in archival mylar. The entirely of the text is browned/toned at the margins, and a few pages with small tears to the margins. There was a repair, with archival cloth tape evident in the hinges and in the text (pictured). Previous owner's name neatly on the front endpaper: Edwin L. Gersten Budapest 1930. Early edition.
