The price-clipped dustjacket has small chips, scuffs, tears, and creases, and has uneven discoloration to the spine; protected in archival Mylar. Signed on the title page by the author under his printed name "T. S. Eliot" with no further inscription. Laid-in loose is a color illustration of the author which is a reproduction of the portrait painted by Wyndham Lewis in 1938. The text is clean and unmarked. The copyright page states [1.3.47] which we interpret as being a 1947 reprint.
