Limp blue paper-covered hardcover binding thought to be printer's wrappers, is heavily worn and soiled, with chipping along the edges, and the spine mostly lacking. Tiny ink notation on the margin of the title page. The page edges are uncut, and the text has minor browning, and a few marginal pencil markings which highlight references to Linnaeus in the text. The pages on which Linnaeus is mentioned are noted in pencil on the inside of the front cover. PROVENANCE: From the library of Swedish lepidopterist and anthropologist Felix Bryk (1882-1957) who also wrote on Linnaeus. Bryk purchased this book from Asher & Co. in 1948.
