[xii], 179 pages of text. Original blue hardcover cloth binding with heavy gilt on spine and front cover. Top edge of the closed page edges is heavily gilted (t.e.g.). The textblock is somewhat shaken, and there are the beginnings of separation between some pages/quires, but remaining intact. Minor shelfwear to the binding including slight rubbing to the extremities, and minor bumping to the corners; protected in archival Mylar. Two small spots of staining to the front (decorated) endpapers, light discoloration to the edge of the half title page, minor offset browning to the title page caused by the tissue guard, and minor soiling and staining to several pages scattered throughout the text. Previous owner's gift inscription neatly on the back of the frontispiece "To Florence from Helen Xmas 1909." Measures 8 7/8" height (226mm). First edition. Stated on the copyright page "First Impression, November, 1907."
