Some of these publications appear to be early separate printings, as the pagination does not appear to relate to the original placement within the pagination of the periodical. PROVENANCE: Bookplate of renowned entomologist Claude Herbulot (1908-2006) on the inside front cover. The first two publications are signed and inscribed by Julius Lederer (1821-1870). 1) Published 1853. Pages numbered 1-36 followed by seven hand-colored plates. 2) Published 1855. Pages numbered [97]-120. 3) Published 1855. Pages numbered 1-4 followed by two hand-colored plates. 4) Published [1855]. Pages numbered [177]-254 followed by five hand-colored plates. 5) Published 1855. Pages numbered [1]-4, followed by one hand-colored plate. There is minor soiling and minor browning to some of the plates, and minor creasing to four pages and two plates. Signed and inscribed by the author to the same unidentified recipient, which appears to be C. F. Pogge or a variant of such. Margins slightly trimmed by binder.
