Original dark green cloth binding is moderately to heavily worn with some discoloration, and the spine strip is torn along the rear board; protected in custom-fitted archival Mylar. Endpapers are toned. Minor discoloration to the lower edge of the first several pages. Originally titled "Wie erlangt man Erkenntnisse der h?heren Welten" and translated from the original German text into English by Max Gysi. Contains biographical notes of the author by Edouard Schure. Previous owner's pencil notations scattered throughout the text. PROVENANCE: previous owner's name (E. A. Jones) on the front endpaper, and the date of Sept. 30, 1925 which is exactly six months following Steiner's death. There are two persons with that name closely associated with Theosophy in that era, including a prominent Australian regional headquarters leader and a person active within the New England lodge circles. This edition represents the text as it was finalized right around the time Rudolf Steiner formally restructured the Anthroposophical Society at the famous Christmas Conference of 1923/1924.
