Five volume set. Includes a very worn original slipcase with bone clasps, which is sun-faded, worn, and with one panel separated. Each volume printed in color by hand from Japanese wood blocks. Each is printed on crepe paper, and bound with white silk ties. CATS: 24 pages including covers. SPIDER: 18 pages. DUMPLING: 22 pages. KOBAKAMA: 24 pages. YOUTH: 18 pages. The first three publications list "17 Kami Negishi" as the publisher's address, and the other two do not list an address. The chitsu (slipcase) is stamped "Made in Japan" twice. Four of the five publications remain wrapped in the original tissue paper. Height = 190mm (7.5"). Minimal shelfwear including tiny creases to a few corners. No publication date stated: circa 1930.
