Three page letter, written from Nice, France on October 18, 1920. Jean de Reszke, the operatic tenor, in English is thanking a friend for having given him notice in his friend's artistic memoirs. He says that it is the heart and imagination which have always guided him in his different roles and that his object has always been to find the way in which to move the audience; that it is made evident to him every day that America has not forgotten about him and that his gratitude goes out to that country; that since fate has treated him so cruelly during the war there remain only work and memories to console him; etc.
