One of 1254 copies printed, top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed. American Waterways Series, II (unstated). The work includes much information on the rise and development of the logging industry. Blair was a partner in rafting for fourteen years with ex-governor Van Sant of Minnesota. Although the American Waterways Series has only four volumes, two of those titles, this one by Blair and another by Merrick, are considered classics of river life. First edition.
