American literature; socialism; fiction; 29 pages; [2]p. The Internatinal Socialist Review; 19.2cm; original pictorial paper wrapper taped; ad back wrapper; reprinted from Hampton magazine. Tape on front wrapper at top corner 3" long and 1/4" wide; on spine the full length (7 1/2") and just under 1/2" wide. The verso of the front cover is also taped similarly, but wider. A few tiny tears to the fore-edge of the wrapper, and minor soiling. If there was issued a grey wrapper on the reverse, it is now lacking. A pair of holes from a staple at the top edge of wrapper and title page. Corners of the first and last few leaves are slightly rubbed. Text is clean. Tape is likely not removable. No month of publication, nor issue number given. Copyright date on the publishers page is 1911, and the publication date on the title page is 1912, which suggests that this might be an early 1912 issue. Attractive front wrapper, with red lettering and picture; of a North American Indian sitting, titled "Days and Nights the Eyes of the Tribe Watched." Jack London (1876-1916).
