Map and Book Fair at the Newberry Library

The 2026 Map and Book Fair will be open to the public on Friday and Saturday, featuring map and book dealers from across the country exhibiting rarities and items of quality that are available for purchase.
On Friday, October 30th the Map and Book Fair is open 5:30–7:30pm. Tickets for the evening event are $40 in advance or $50 at the door and include hors d'oeuvres and drinks.
On Saturday, October 31st the Map and Book Fair hours are 9:00am–5:00pm. There is no admission charge Saturday.
Kurt Gippert Bookseller will be offering for sale numerous rare, antiquarian, collectible, limited edition, signed, autographed, and special edition books, historic documents and manuscripts. Items are otherwise available for consideration at the bookstore on a by-appointment basis.
